Woodhaven has a sinkhole problem so be patient

The NYC Dept of Transportation closed off 85th Street by 89th Avenue reporting a giant sinkhole in Woodhaven. This incident was reported by a local resident to the city yesterday evening. First the city will evaluate the condition, then send officials from the water dept to make sure all residents pipes are working fine so they can get bills on time. Then the transportation dept will arrive at the scene with trucks to fix the road.

According to the Mayor's office, this whole process will take 3 to 7 days or longer so residents and drivers must be patient by walking or using alternate routes.

Then the MTA will inspect to ensure subway lines are not affected.

NYC is facing sinkholes, pot holes and many issues involving holes including people but it’s all work using taxpayer funds.

With so many agencies to handle the task, taxpayer funds are hard at work to fix this sinkhole in Woodhaven.
