Westbury man arrested for impersonating as police officer in Garden City

Anthony Scott, 37 of Westbury was taken into custody and charged with impersonating as police officer and menacing. The incident happened on Saturday, October 14 around 4:15pm on Northern State Parkway. Scott was driving a Chevy Silverado, 2010 on the parkway eastbound when he flashed red and blue lights from his vehicle to another one in front of him, a Volkswagon. The driver of Volkswagon exited at Glen Cove Road. Scott then walked to the driver side and displayed a badge and gun. When the victim was told to get out of the vehicle, the male driver took off and alerted police. Further investigation search lead Scott to Garden City where he was arrested.
