Well it is on to raid the Sheriff of NYC courtesy of DOI

After appearing at the City Council hearing on September 17, the NYC Sheriff clearly stated the NYPD removed the cash from raids at local stores running cannabis operations without licenses and not his office.

However, on Thursday evening, the NYC’s Dept of Investigation conducted a raid with warrant at the Sheriff’s Office in Long Island City to follow up on the hearing to check on the impropriety of inventory.

Well, the DOI confirmed over $100,000 cash was seized from the raid and the Sheriff has no comment.

The Sheriff did respond to the hearing on the original date that due process is being worked with the NYPD to send the information the City Council requested but after 9 days delays, the Dept of Investigation went ahead with the raid.

The investigation came after busts and arrests from raids by the Sheriff’s Office and then the alleged defendants hired lawyers alerted the city of inventory removed by the Sheriff and not NYPD.

The Sheriff was appointed by the NYC Mayor who is having his own indictments to sort out back in 2022.

The DOI Officials have not responded to the cash seized from the raid if it's related to the Sheriff's Office raid conducted due to ongoing investigation.

The Sheriff's biggest raid came from Bellerose event venue as a front for unlicensed cannabis distribution center claimed over $10 million worth of inventory including cash.
