Walkway to be developed for pedestrians in Manhattan

Mayor di Blasio wants Manhattan to Queens via bike or walk path but will have to wait until the success of ferry service. In the meantime today, di Blasio announced $100 million dollars as part of Manhattan Waterfront Greenway, a 32 mile water front for pedestrians only with a new path between East 53rd to 61st Streets. The construction will start 2019 and expected to complete 2022. di Blasio wants to close the gap for pedestrians to have open path around the five boroughs by waterfronts. The next task is East River Greenway connecting to Harlem to the Bronx. pic by Mayor's office. Reported 7pm.
