Viva la Puerto Rico days off next week

The NYC Council members, NYS Assembly and Senate members along with the Governor and Mayor will be heading to Puerto Rico next week for the annual Somos event. The event is from November 6 to 10pm and the taxpayers are not invited but their money will be well spent on the elected officials trip to enjoy Puerto Rico.

This is after Election Day.

Somos is one of the largest nonprofit organizations again funded by taxpayers that provides unity in the Latino community and fights for social justice in collaboration with the NYS Assembly, Senate, NYC Council, NY Governor, NYC Mayor and all involved.

All the local offices of elected officials will remain open with staff for local constituents.
