Two separate investigation by Queens detectives

The NYPD reported a dead body was found on the sidewalk in Astoria. The incident was reported around 10:30am in the vicinity of the local high school, William Cullen Bryant after calls came in for an unresponsive male. The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Around 12:30pm, police were at the local subway station, Van Wyck Expressway reporting a male struck by train. The E line was affected. ESU removed the male from the tracks and EMS transported him to a local hospital.

Detectives are investigating both incidents.
