Two in custody for illegal vape sales in Baldwin

The Strategic Response Team (SRT) report the arrest of two males within the confines of the First Precinct on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 8:30 pm.

According to Police, officers conducted an investigation targeting the sale of flavored vape products being sold at XpressMart located at 757 Foxhurst Road. During the investigation, officers observed a large quantity of flavored vape products, a large quantity of Kratom and Pepper Spray Cannisters displayed for sale. 

As a result of the investigation, two employees, Defendant Ketankumar Patel, 35, of Flushing and Defendant Hiteshkumar Shah, 50, of Hicksville are each charged with Sale of Restricted Products, Sale of Flavored Products Prohibited and Unlawfully Selling Noxious Materials.  

They were issued Desk Appearance Tickets returnable to First District on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
