Two women busted for soliciting in East Garden City

The Narcotics Vice Squad reports the arrest of two females for an incident that occurred on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 3:50 pm in East Garden City.

According to Detectives, an undercover investigation was conducted at the Red Roof Inn located at 699 Dibblee Drive. It was determined prostitution was being conducted at this location. Narcotics Vice Squad Detectives placed Defendant Elizabete Aguiar Pereira, 42, of Newark, New Jersey and Defendant Girlene Da Silva Dos Santos, 31, of Elizabeth, New Jersey under arrest without incident. 

Defendant Elizabete Aguiar Pereira is charged with Promoting Prostitution 4th Degree. Defendant Girlene Da Silva Dos Santos is charged with Prostitution. They were released on Appearance Tickets. Further investigation revealed the defendants are illegally in the United States and are subject to removal proceedings. US Immigration Customs Enforcement Agents (ICE) took custody of the defendants.
