Two MS 13 suspects arrested for Flushing homicide

Two MS-13 suspects arrested for Flushing homicide Roberto Abrego Reyes, 23, known as ?Splinter,? and Jose Alvarenga Ramirez, 27, known as ?Smoker,? were taken into custody on Thursday, July 27 evening. They were charged with murder and weapon possession. Police received tip of apartment in Hempstead of multiple weapon possession and after search warrant lead to their arrests. Further investigation reported both were in Flushing involving homicide. On May 31 after midnight, Fernando Gonzales-Chavez, 39 of Bayside was shot dead outside the deli on 162nd Street near Northern Blvd. Both suspects are alleged member of MS-13 and El Salvadoran immigrant. Police stated tattoos were the leading clue to the investigation.
