Driver dead after ramming into wood in Douglaston

Police were called to Winchester Blvd and Grand Central Parkway in between Dept of Sanitation and Creedmoor reporting a vehicle went into the woods around 11:30pm on Thursday, July 27. EMS reported the vehicle was exiting Winchester Blvd from east Grand Central Parkway coming down and past the intersection to the woods after losing control. The driver was taken to LIJ in cardiac arrest and later died. Winchester Blvd is closed by Creedmoor for further investigation. Highway CSI is on the scene along with NYPD.
