Flushing at Van Wyck Express way

Flushing - Van Wyck Expressway southbound at LIE, all lanes closed after an NYPD was involved in a chase of a vehicle the driver refused to stop. During the chase, the vehicle struck and hit another vehicle driven by an off duty cop who tried to stop the driver but was injured. NYPD is searching for the suspect and alerted Port Authority Police possibly heading to JFK. Ongoing investigation.
