Triple Decker Turkey special coming right up for 25

Starting January 1, 2026, the minimum wage will be $17 an hour in all NYC boroughs. $16 for Long Island and the rest of the state including upstate. This includes tipped employees, fast-food workers and nail salon employees.

It's a raise to keep up with rising cost of expenses in NYC. Already local retailers have increased prices on food, clothes, home goods, etc. The price of Triple Decker Turkey special is now $25 for a complete good one ready to eat.

The good news is that starting next year on March 9, there will be no criminal charges for unlicensed vendors from food cart to vending of anyone wanting to sell anything anywhere in the city. The penalty is a civil fine which can be covered from selling if all goes well to give the city some nice perks.

As for Sick and Safe Leave Law, 32 hours of unpaid leave per year with immediate eligibility and adjustments of pay.

For tips, starting January 26, Uber Eats and Instacart must include a minimum of 10% tips for each order. All other tips are optional.

As for delivery workers starting January 26, those using e-bikes require NYC certified safety standard models assigned or face fines.

So how will the $30 minimum wage go?

It can happen in four years with each year increasing to $3.37.

However, the law starting in 2027 under the Governor's proposal, wage increases will be tied to the Consumer Price Index if it doesn't affect the overall state economy. Will it happen?

Sure with prices up and up but the Governor will send out inflation refund checks to qualified locals. Enjoy.
