Queens affordability starts at three thousand with the new electric wave

It's only $3,000 starting rent for over 3,500 empty apartments in the Long Island City vicinity where the incoming Mayor used to work as a State Assembly member. The Western Queens is a far left neighborhood which supports socialism and communism as the pathway to NYC's survival with expenses which are all affordable after paying the $3,000 rent. That number will be the new norm for all of Queens except for rent stabilized, rent controlled and other voucher programs giving developers break with property taxes.

As of December 2025, the average rent in Long Island City, NY is $3,643 per month. This is 123% higher than the national average rent price of $1,631/month, making Long Island City one of the most expensive cities nationwide. Excellent.

On top of the rent, the winter heat which is powered by electricity as part of the global warming crisis instead of fossil fuels is expected to be around $750 to $1,000 per month totally according to ConEd which is also affordable.

However, the NYC Government demands more housing to be developed for income restricted applicants which are selected by lottery regardless of whether other units remain empty. The city will be sending out a team under the incoming Mayor for locations which will match where the next towers need to be built.

Affordable times are coming next year.
