Three arrested for drug related charges following traffic stop in Broome county

On July 13, 2026, New York State Police arrested three people following a traffic stop in Broome County.

Shortly before 1:00 p.m., Troopers were patrolling in the village of Johnson City observed a 2025 Nissan Sentra commit Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Prospect Street in the town of Dickinson.

The operator was identified as Gregory L. Jackson, 51 of Brooklyn.  The passengers were identified as Sircurtis D. King, 60 of Binghamton and Jhenna T. Wood, 38 of Binghamton.

During the investigation, Troopers with the assistance of a New York State Police K9, located approximately 1.96 ounces of cocaine base, approximately 1.90 ounces of fentanyl, a digital scale, packaging materials and a large amount of U.S. currency.

Jackson, King and Wood were each charged with:

Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree (Narcotic Drug), a class “B” felony

Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree (Intent to Sell), a class “B” felony

Two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia (Scale and Packaging), a misdemeanor

All three were transported to SP Endwell for processing.  While in custody, King complained of a medical issue and was transported by ambulance to Wilson Medical Center and medically evaluated and later released.

Jackson, King and Wood were all transported to the Broome County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.
