The real investigation is going to reveal what is going on in Elmont

On March 17, 2021, a Hofstra female student, 21 was heading home in Elmont when a suspect approached and threw chemicals in her face. The suspect then immediately ran to the vehicle, a red Nissan and took off. Today, an arrest has been made but the motive is a long way of investigation, something the Nassau County detectives don't quit until all evidence is in place.

The suspect, male, black, aged 29, was in court today and arraigned while the victim was also present after being charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and unlawfully possessing noxious material. As of the latest, the suspect is remanded after pleading not guilty.

The Nassau County DA's office say the suspect was apprehended through a tip leading to the vehicle. Now the real investigation begins after the victim quoted, "At the end of it, something still doesn't make sense".

Many community locals praised law enforcement for the arrest while some believe there are more people involved.

The investigation continues.
