Taxi driver robbed by teens in Westbury as per police report

The NCPD reported a male, cab driver, 72 years old, was robbed in Westbury. The incident was reported on Thursday, December 26 around 9pm.

According to detectives, a 72-year-old male victim, while operating a taxi, was dropping off the three male teens on Old Country Road. When they reached their destination, one of the teens displayed what appeared to be a firearm and removed cash from the victim’s pocket. The males then fled the scene on foot. Responding officers conducted an investigation and the teens, ages 15, 13 and 13, were located nearby. They were taken into custody without incident. An imitation firearm was recovered from one of the teen.

All three were charged with robbery, menacing and one of them with weapon possession.

The investigation continues.
