Sunday protest made little impact on the Flushing casino prospect

On Sunday there was a protest against a casino in Flushing. On Monday, the Flushing development team and the NYC signed a lease all set to go if the license for one of the three casinos is approved pleasing developers. The agreement is around the parking lot of CitiField if approved for construction to start.

This came after a lawsuit filed by the US Tennis Association which also owns the land nearby and operates the US Open. The name of the casino again if approved is called Metropolitan Park.

So instead of saying let's go to the casino just say "let's go Metropolitan Park or keep it short as Met Park.

Also in exchange, $100 million commitment over 10 years will go to the improvements of Flushing Meadows Corona Park if Skypark doesn't happen. UH-OH.

December 1st is when the NY Governor will make the announcement of three licenses to who is who and there are only three who are who. One is Flushing, Resorts World in South Ozone Park and Bally's in the Bronx.

Today, the members of the casino license issuance from the Governor's office visited all three locations to survey and review all around to analyze before submitting a report to the board.

So again, December 1st is the day of announcement and until then enjoy Thanksgiving holidays.
