Staten Island man arrested for possession of stolen vehicle

Staten Island, NY - On June 13, 2026, Troopers from Troop NYC, SP Staten Island, arrested Philip K. Joe (29), of Staten Island, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.

While patrolling in the vicinity of Clove Road and Howard Avenue, Troopers stopped a 2025 Mazda CX-5 for a vehicle and traffic law violation.  During a roadside investigation, the Troopers determined that the vehicle was stolen.

Joe was placed into custody and transported to the NYPD 120 Precinct for processing, and later to Staten Island Central Booking for arraignment on the following charges:

Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd degree, a class D Felony

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a class A Misdemeanor
