State Police arrest two in the Bronx on drug charges

On June 12, 2026, Troopers from Troop NYC, SP Bronx, arrested Jorge Linares Santana (35) and Brito Felipe Franklin Junior (30), both of the Bronx, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell.

While patrolling I-295 in the vicinity of the Throggs Neck Bridge in the Bronx, a Trooper stopped a Honda CRV for several vehicle and traffic law violations. An inventory of the unregistered motor vehicle was conducted in preparation for an impound, which led to the discovery of pill bottles filled with various prescription medications and over $700 in U.S. currency.

Both the motorist, Santana, and the passenger, Junior, were placed into custody and transported to the NYPD 45th Precinct for processing, and later to Bronx Central Booking for arraignment on the following charge: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, Intent to Sell, a class D Felony.
