State Police investigate stabbing in Middletown

On Saturday, September 19, at about 6:23 p.m., State Police responded to the Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown for a report of a male victim with a stab wound.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Juan G. Pena, 34, of Monticello, NY, was stabbed during an event at Our Town Party Hall and Rentals on East Main Street in Middletown, before being transported to Garnet Health Medical Center in a private vehicle.

Pena received treatment and is listed in stable condition at GHMC.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
