New York State Police arrest fort covington woman After investigating a larceny case

On September 10, 2026, at approximately 3:02 p.m., New York State Police responded to Walmart, located on U.S. Highway 11 in the town of Potsdam, for a reported larceny.

An investigation determined that a female entered the store and stole merchandise valued at $1,081.83, passing all points of purchase without paying. The suspect, identified as Karina I. David, age 35, of Fort Covington, fled the scene prior to law enforcement's arrival.

State Police contacted the Potsdam Town Court and requested an arrest warrant. The warrant was subsequently issued.

On September 21, 2026, David was located and arrested. She was transported to SP Canton for processing and charged with Burglary in the Third Degree and Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree.
