State Police arrest two for felony gun possession in Rensselaer County

The ongoing investigation and with the assistance of New York State Police Computer Forensic Lab, Investigators discovered Kevin Wang possessed images consistent with child sexual exploitation on his seized electronic devices. He was arrested and processed on the additional charge of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” felony. He was arraigned at the Colonie Town Court and released on his own recognizance.

Two additional residences were discovered belonging to Wang. On March 5, 2024, and March 6, 2024, additional search warrants were executed at those Colonie, NY, locations, resulting in the discovery of more illegally possessed non-compliant firearms and gun parts.

Both Wang and Zheng remain in the custody of the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility at this time.
