Shooting investigation in Brooklyn involving a cop

Police have closed off the Sutter Avenue subway station in Brownsville reporting a shooting involving multiple suspects and cops. A police officer was shot along with three suspects during a shootout.

The incident occurred around 3:15pm this afternoon in Brooklyn.

EMS transported all to local hospitals including the police officer. Another officer was injured but not shot.

One of the suspects was shot dead during the incident.

The medical examiner transported the body for autopsy.

The other two suspects are at the local hospital.

The NYPD will issue a press statement with details.

The investigation continues.
