Shark update for Saturday

The Nassau County's Executive Office reported of no sharks sighting today by shark patrol officers. However, beachgoers are advised to enter at knee to wait deep and also of possible rip currents due to hurricane Isalas from the south.
In Suffolk County, The NYS Dept of Environmental reported of a humpback whale stranded by the coast entangled in plastics. Officials removed the stuffs and freed the whale.
Also, there are no dolphins sighted. A total of 9 sharks sightings reported the week and no injuries.
Update - At 1:35pm, shark patrol reported shark sighting. Nassau County section of Lido West Beach to Civic Beach prohibited swimming. This is the 10th shark sighting in Nassau County.
Second update - 4:15pm, Nassau County reported another shark sighting. This is the 11th shark sighting for the week.
Third update - 3rd shark sighting reported and swimming prohibited for the day.
