Separate fire incidents in Westbury and Wantagh

Firefighters are reporting a heavy fire at the Wantagh Preservation Center. This is at 1700 Wantagh Avenue.

The fire started around 4pm this afternoon when it started in the attic. EMS reported no injuries.

Around 3pm today, a fire broke out at a home in Westbury. This is on Choir Lane near Crystal Lane. By 4pm, the fire was brought under control.

EMS reported injuries.

Firefighters are working at both locations and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
