SSP is a mess in Nassau County

The NCPD closed both directions on the Southern State Parkway by Exit 17 reporting multiple vehicle accident with fatalities.

The first incident was on the westbound involving over five vehicles pile up. EMS transported over 13 people to local hospitals. The medical examiner transported the dead to conduct autopsies. Heavy rescue on the scene. Also on the eastbound police say multiple vehicle accident with injuries.

It’s a mess in both directions.

Avoid the route.
