Robbery investigation at the local mall in Flushing

The NYPD released surveillance pictures of two suspects wanted in questioning regarding a robbery at the local mall in Flushing. The incident was reported on August 18 at 9:15pm at the Tangram Mall.

One of the suspects displayed a weapon and then removed the bag containing $40,000 cash from the victim according to police.

However, both suspects and the victims communicated online for a meet to exchange the currency into Yuan from Dollar before the robbery happened.

Police didn't disclose additional details.

The suspects took off on foot toward the subways where the surveilance pictures were captured after the victim identified them.

The NYPD instructed all to have meet at the local precinct for cash transactions in NYC including Queens.

The investigation continues.
