Robbery at Chase Bank in Glen Oaks

On Monday, November 6 around 3pm, police were called to Chase Bank at 256th Street and Union Turnpike in Glen Oaks reporting of a disturbance of male. Several sources reported the male, black entered the bank and passed note to the teller with demand. When the teller refused to cooperate, the male became agitated and harassed patrons inside the bank. Shortly when police arrived, they took the male in custody after placing in cuffs. The person told police while in cuffs, it was a deposit slip. A worker at the bank stated it was ransom note written on the deposit slip. Ongoing investigation.
