Road rage assaults resulting vehicle accident by the local mall in Valley Stream

The NCPD reported a vehicle accident on Sunrise Highway next to the local mall in Valley Stream. The incident was reported this afternoon around 1:15pm involving over five vehicles. EMS reported over five injuries.

Reported this was a result of road rage during exit from the mall and then assaults broke out.

A witness reported several people from one vehicle took off on foot heading to the direction of the mall.

ESU took a while to clear Sunrise Highway for continued traffic.

The investigation continues.
