Rescue mission of cats continue on Long Island

Lisa Jaeger of Jaeger’s Run Animal Rescue who is leading the efforts at the Happy Cats Sanctuary continues to search for the rest of the cats missing from the fire in Medford, Suffolk County.

A new database is being developed to list all the cats rescued so far for all to check which will be released to the public soon. This way the previous owners of the cats who surrendered there can check on the updates. Soon, some of the cats will be up for adoption but will have to wait.

As for the late owner, Chris and the 100 cats now in heaven, a memorial will be held soon for all to attend.

Also, Lisa told the public the area is now guarded by armed security around the clock so no one can interfere with continued rescue.

The public do not have access to the property and will be arrested for trespassing.

At the moment, the location has all the resources to continue with the rescue mission including volunteers working around the clock.

Chris Arsenault understood the meaning of life. He selflessly dedicated his retirement to helping abused, neglected and homeless animals. He loved and cared for souls unable to care for themselves. That's what a rich life is. Rest in peace Chris.
