Redevelopments except migrant centers in Nassau County

The Nassau County Administrative Office announced empty storefronts are permitted for redevelopment of the same zone assigned only and nothing else. This order came under strict rule by its county executive Blakemann.

One location on the corner of Hillside Avenue and Herricks Road which has submitted a plan for the same zoning spot without changes. There is a meeting on this on June 12 around 6:30pm at the Manhasset Lakeville Fire Dept on 78th Avenue near Lakeville Road.

Another location is the Broadway Commons in Hicksville which will be renamed to The Shoppe with the same zone for shopping center. A date of launch will be announced after the development.

As for the County Executive, there will be no homeless or migrant shelters in Nassau County under the new development plan.

At the same time, the affordable housing is in the jurisdiction with the Governor only for the LIRR radius within 3 miles. This is due to the state land as part of the MTA.
