Public housing tenants must be warm in Queens

The NYC Mayor announced around $40 million to install heat pumps at the NYCHA Beach 41st Street public housing to keep tenants warm in the winter and air conditioned in the summer. 712 tenants will be happy with taxpayer funds as part of the Clean Heat for All program, the first in NYC. The setup will replace the previous gas boiler system to keep up with the latest tech trend.

This is one of the largest voter bases and must be protected with comfort, happiness and drain taxpayer funds.

From this, the next step is to complete the setup with the entire NYCHA within five boroughs by 2030 costing very affordable in billions again paid by taxpayers.

The other one in Queens, Woodside Houses is in the process of completing the heat pump setups by 2026 which will cost around $240 million which is affordable as taxpayers don’t mind.

NYCHA is the largest public housing where the average rent is $621.

As for private landlords including cooperative and condominiums, tenants must be provided one upon request starting 2030.
