Poof to Coney Island and Freedom Plaza now onto Flushing

The Community Board today voted no to a casino near United Nations calling it Freedom Plaza in Manhattan. No casinos in Manhattan — poof and a big relief for Flushing prospect.

Coney Island is also getting a no after the community board will vote it down. This leave with Yonkers, the Bronx and Kweens also known as Queens. For the Bronx, Bally's has less chance compared to Flushing. So a total of four as of today, Bally's in the Bronx, Flushing Metropolitan Park, Empire Casino in Yonkers and Resorts in Ozone Park. The clear front runners are Yonkers and Ozone Park. If Ballys get the poof, then it's Flushing where rent goes easy $5,000 to $10,000 a month for apartments.

The local elected officials are all up for the next campaign for higher positions in need of dire funding and are optimistic that the Flushing bid goes through. There are numerous positions aiming for Congress and Senator seats, which have many current members retiring. Moreover, if Flushing is in play, then developers will line up to make change from JFK to LGA airports with Babylon like towers making Queens a very busy place.
