Violent crimes but one was the highest in Queens

The NYPD reported two days of violent crimes in Queens from Sunday to Monday. The leading crime was assault involving weapons.

The latest incident occurred in St. Albans on the corner of Springfield Blvd and Linden Blvd where a 13-year-old was shot around 8:30am. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital who remains in critical condition. So far, there are no arrests.

Around 10am, people driving on the Van Wyck Expressway had to move around after multiple shots fired near the Jamaica Avenue Exit.

Last night, around 11pm, a dispute broke out inside the 7 train on Roosevelt Avenue near 111th Street, where someone was stabbed. Commuters ran out for safety. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital, now in stable condition. An hour later, another slashing incident inside the E train on Archer Avenue and Sutphin Blvd.

As for robberies, 31 victims were robbed inside the subways and public buses over the weekend.

With the mayoral election coming in 60 days with a new one, it's a wait and watch on the change if any on crime problems.
