Police officer shot in Jamaica

Police closed off 161 Street between Hillside Avenue and Archer Avenue reporting a police officer shot. One suspect, male, black in custody. Police are looking for another suspect. Both are living in the homeless shelter on the block when calls came in for a dispute.

Heavy police presence in the area.

EMS transported the officer to Jamaica Hospital.

Ongoing investigation.
