One dead after crash on the LIE

Police reported around 12:45am, Long Island Expressway was closed by Sagtikos State Parkway when a box truck rear ended an innocent driver who died at the scene.

The driver of the box truck was arrested after the vehicle that was hit overturned in the right lane. Further investigation from police sources stated when the box truck driver was reckless on the road from witnesses.

LIE eastbound was closed for investigation and now open for traffic.
