Police made arrest of attempted murder in Hempstead

Police reported the arrest of Kawand Cofield, 40 and Trevor Ford, 27 after one was found in the vicinity of Denton Avenue and Jericho Turnpike in Garden City. The homicide occurred on May 19 at 5:41pm in Hempstead. A 54 year old male was dead at the scene after shot at Terrace Avenue. Reported there was a verban argument and one suspect had weapon which passed to other one who fired two rounds at the victim. The victim called 911 after the incident and police reported he was not struck. Cofield was charged with weapon possession and Ford was charged with attempted murder.
