Plattsburgh male charged with criminal trespass

On July 15, 2026, New York State Police arrested Eric M. Ashton, age 40, of Plattsburgh, for Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree.

On July 15, 2026, at approximately 7:21 a.m., troopers responded to Bob’s Instant Plumbing on Route 9 in the town of Plattsburgh for a report of a suspicious person. An investigation determined that Ashton was unlawfully on the property without permission and was found sleeping inside a vehicle.

Ashton was arrested and transported to SP Plattsburgh for processing.
