Pedestrian death investigation in Garden City Park

The NCPD reported a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and later died of injuries in Garden City Park. This is on Jericho Turnpike and Marcus Avenue intersection. The incident was reported on Monday night around 9:15pm in Nassau County.

EMS transported the victim in cardiac arrest from the impact.

The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police.

The intersection was closed for investigation and now open for traffic. Highway CIS continue with the investigation.
