Monday has cops on a busy schedule in Queens

Just now, the NYPD reported a shooting in Queensbridge Houses in Astoria. EMS is working to transport the bullet victim to a local hospital. Cops are on the hunt for two suspects who took off from the crime scene.

Meanwhile, assaults rose to the highest today including local streets and public transportation from subway to buses. The most incidents occurred on the Jamaica line.

As for robberies today, not counting weekends, 42 victims reported the crime from thefts to muggings.

The major incident was in Brooklyn on Friday where a suspect with 25 priors was arrested after multiple victims reported a push toward the subway tracks. Police increased patrol in the area after the same suspect who was arrested may be released after remanded.

Despite the crimes, NYC is still the safest city.
