One spot is a hot bed for hiding for burglars in Glen Oaks

Police have reported several burglaries on Union Turnpike between 248th and 249th Streets. Reporting most of the business rarely locks their back doors and found windows open at night time for easy access. At the same time, entries to Glen Oaks Village Co-op apartments are accessible when neighbors had not locked their main doors or windows. On October 10, police reported 4 break-ins in one night at the location. Many items went stolen reported. Several residents stated its also a spot for drug dealing in the early morning. Also, on October 14 around 4pm, two people were robbed at the corner of Union Turnpike and 249th Street.
