Bus stop gangs wanted for burglaries in Floral Park

Police reported a gang of men and woman in backpacks are walking around on Hillside Avenue scouting homes between 258th and 262nd Streets targeting for burglary. Since October 10, more than five burglaries were reported. The latest attempt was on Tuesday, October 24 when a homeowner on 260th Street and 83rd Avenue called police around 9pm. A resident reported two males, Hispanic were seen around the property and alerted police. Two days later, they were seen at the bus stop waiting for a bus with green backpacks. Also, burglaries were reported on October 9, 10, 14 and 20th. Police didn't disclose if the suspects maybe part of construction activities in the area whereby they are hired illegally from Hollis. On Jamaica Avenue near Francis Lewis Blvd, many construction companies pick up illegal workers with back packs for services in the area.
