Number of people in NY under precautionary quarantines

As of 8pm the number is 89 with 13 from Westchester
76 cases of positive tested for cornavirus in NY
- 57 cases in Westchester County
- 10 cases in Manhattan
- 4 cases in Nassau County
- 2 cases in Rockland County
- 2 cases in Saratoga County
- 1 in Queens County
10 are hospitalized
NY declared state of emergency
There are over 4,000 people under precautionary quarantine in NY state. For NYC, its 2,700. 1,000 in Westchester. Health officials reports 80% affected will resolve with proper treatment while 20% may get ill or require hospitalization. The vulnerable are seniors and those with immune compromises underlying illnesses. Governor Cuomo reported $30 million required weekly for coronavirus in NYC with another $20 million for NYC. According to the mayor's office, 1,200 beds are not enough and need more so the city is looking to raising taxes to cover the cost of coronavirus. Cuomo also reported some people on voluntary quarantine are not following the rules and the state is considering other measures for cooperation.
