No garbage pick up on Election Day

The NYC Dept of Transportation announced there is no trash pick up on Tuesday, Election Day. This includes curbside compost and recycling collection. This means don't put garbage on Monday night for Tuesday's pickup.

However, you can put out on Tuesday after 8pm for Wednesday pick up schedule.

The DSNY also announced there will be delays in pick up on Wednesday due to a backlog of materials.
