Night time robbery in Glen Oaks continues

As of September so far since the 12th, more than 10 people have been robbed including forms of mugging and snatching in Glen Oaks. All incidents occurred in the vicinity of Union Turnpike between 260th Street and 249 Street.

Several victims were targeted while waiting for the bus at the local stands. According to the security that monitors the area, there are lots of people sitting inside vehicles and can't approach due to safety reasons.

Two victims stated the suspects are males, Asian Indians during their incidents on Union Turnpike and 249 Street.

Another victim stated the suspect was male, black across the local 7-Eleven when the phone was snatched around 11pm.

A local resident stated since it's longer for the precinct to respond, suspects get away easily and lots of new people are in the area not known around.

Residents are advised to stay alert.
