Robbery at the local bar in Bethpage

The NCPD is investigating a robbery that occurred in Bethpage yesterday around 12:45pm.

According to detectives, police responded to a local bar on Railroad Avenue for a robbery. An investigation revealed that an unknown male subject entered the bar and grabbed a 64-year-old male customer from behind holding him while demanding cash from the 64-year-old female bartender. The male subject then reached into a box on top of a bar and removed an undisclosed amount of US currency. The subject then fled out of the bar on foot and fled in an unknown direction with the proceeds. There were no injuries reported. The investigation is ongoing.

The subject is described as being male, race unknown, 5’10” tall, 180 Lbs., medium build, black hooded sweatshirt, dark gloves, black sunglasses / blue lenses, and a dark mask.
