New Hyde Park did not last long for an eatery

Back on January 19, 2023, a new eatery opened in New Hyde Park, Dos Toros Taqueria at the former location of Papa Ciro which closed in 2019 after 40 years in the community.

Dos Toros Taquiera closed for good and a new eatery is set to open serving Mexican grill from burritos to tacos. The location is undergoing renovations at 1624 Marcus Avenue.

Six months ago, the location celebrated its two year anniversary.

Many locals say the Chipotle nearby was a competition.

A date for the new eatery has not been announced as of yet.
