More rezoning coming to Jamaica the next transit hub

The new name for one section of Jamaica is set to be called Downtown Jamaica Queens or DJQ. Just say I am going to DJQ instead of Jamaica to make it classy and impressive. Elegance is a better word when the city is all set to vote to build almost 20,000 housing units in the area with 15% set aside for eligibility in the low income section.

Archer Avenue, Sutphin Blvd to the LIRR is now moving forth with more zoning changes to add Babylon-like towers forcing long time single and double family owners to go away from the area giving rise to the affordable housing boom.

A new campaign will be released for all to say DJQ until DJQ is easily pronounced or expressed while in the area.

Meanwhile, the NYPD is investigating a major crime in the same area. A 23 year old female victim reported to police of alleged sexual assault on Saturday morning around 4:30am after a perp followed the victim. Also, over the weekend, 14 people were robbed.

The Mayor's Office says the more development, the more operations for NYPD to monitor until the situation is stabilized.

All are under investigation.
