Nassau County DA warning all of new information to the public

The Nassau County DA's office released new information to the public of alleged scammers targeting innocent victims using fake charity names for donations.

Locals are to remain alert and call (800) 244-TIPS for any illegal charity activities mainly in the northern section of Nassau County and some parts of Rockville Centre.

The NCPD is advising all to check for legal verification with the NYS before making any donations. Also, the same information is being forwarded to the NYPD for NYC to stay alert.

The investigation continues.
