NYS on a high profile case of abduction investigation

A 9 year old girl who was reported missing on Saturday evening in Upstate NY has been located dead. The NYS police says there are no indications of abduction but additional details were not provided.

The victim was found in the town of Ticonderoga in Essex County on Sunday after a massive search by all law enforcement in NY.

The original info stated the victim was originally reported abducted in Lake George and last seen in a van near Lake George Village on the Adirondack Northway, about an hour away from the location of death. The call came from the victim's father around 10pm last night.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case before the State Police took over. Law enforcement identified “inconsistencies” in the father’s account of events and the timeline he provided according to the investigation.

A press conference will be held tomorrow.

The investigation continues.
